Pearl Farm: Pirates' Night!RAWR!!!RAWR!!!

We stayed in Pearl farm this time for 3days:) We really try to go there every year as much as possible to relax and enjoy the sea and the sand:) Below are pics, where we await our 130pm boat ride to the island:) We both had a quick lunch (Tanigue with steamed vegetables) first after a tiring morning from the outskirts of Davao.

On the first night, for dinner as a theme was pirates' night which started around 630pm. Roughly per person it was Php1000++ but it was all worth it!:) We had a sumptuous all time favorite Filipino feast of lechon, bulalo, stir fry seafood of your choice and a lot more! They also had a small show, bingo and a few games where we won a shirt(worth P250) and a gift certificate for kayaking(worth P440)!weee!!!:) Though we didn't win in BINGO...hahaha!!! It's almost worth it! Too bad my camera didn't have batteries to capture some of the show and games, but I was able to take pics of the arrangements and food though..yum!yum!:)

RAWR!!!RAWR!!!:-) We finished the program at 9PM. It was a real production and the cast really prepared and practiced their moves. I'm so proud of them even though I didn't know them:) hehehe!!! I was proud of them as other foreigners were watching their well choreographed and rehearsed skits and moves:) Go Filipino talents/artists!!!:) Mabuhay!

Note: By the way, the lechon was REAAAALLLLYYYY gooooodddd!!!! i could taste the full herbs and crispiness of the suckling pig:-) too bad for my diet!!!

Coffee Experience: Nestle Experimental and Demo Farm

Being a coffee lover myself, I was intrigued with the idea on how coffee is made:) So kim and I went to visit the Nestle Experimental Demo Farm in Magdum, Tagum City which can be reached via Davao. We met the very accomodating and uuubbbeeerrrrly kind Sir Eddie and Sir Ramon to explain to us the basics in coffee planting.  We learned that, with just our local consumption of coffee, only 40% are from local farmers and the rest are imports.  That is why, Nestle created this institution to help coffee farmers and future farmers to be encouraged to invest in this industry.

Here are some photos from seedling, to their mother plants, teaching area where they showed us how bending was done to allow water sprouts to grow and the area for the cuttings to grow roots.
We thought our visit was really productive and we learned a lot from NEDF. We hope we can return in the future as we start our new venture in coffee planting. So we could really say that we a truly coffee lovers!:)
Above picture is me with a little souvenir from NEDF....Hoping and praying that we can make it happen for us and our love for coffee:-)
This is the love of my life looking for what we'll do next in Davao. Davao is really such a nice place. We're hoping we'd be settling in here in the future:) We really enjoyed our vacation..till next time:)

CSA, high school days...Up up up the eagles fly!

From above they look you down...CSA controls the sky, CSA is the best in town...fight eagles! fight eagles! fight!fight!fight! Go go go golden eagles men of might golden eagles fifight figggghhhh!!!!:-) Going down the memory lane...ahhh...high school days are the best:-)

Last month Kim and I visited our beloved alma mater. So much has change and improved with the facilities...I wished the other alumni have seen the changes in CSA lately, I'm sure they will really be proud. That led us to think and wished that the alumni system of CSA was reliable in order to have a network of all our prestigious alumni and they can go back to inspire the students to be the best...I would even volunteer to help out boost the alumni registry....how I wish they'll do something about it in the future. We even tried and failed to get an alumni card that day, awwww......they didn't have a system to take care of these important data. In the mean time, I'll just blog how proud I am as an Augustinian:-) My dad and uncles were and so will my future kids will be...:-)

Ahhh...still day dreaming about the CSA's new indoor tennis court! Gosh! Can't wait for the new gym to finish:-) We'll be visiting again soon...and this time we'll make sure our alumni suggestions will be heard:-)

Welcome to the Family!

Welcome to the family Jacob and Ella.

This new year, we have new addition to the family!!! OOOhhhh sooo blessed to have them.

Jacob is the son of our very own Oia and Doctor dog-David.  He was born four days before Christmas and now he is so active and is trying to walk and balance on his own.  Oia is truly one proud mama...she takes care of him the whole time and makes sure he is well fed and satisfied.  Here are pictures of Jacob:

CinderELLA, Ella enchanted, our female bi-eyed shih tzu. She is so Amazingly Adorable with those rare set of eyes. She has one brown and one blue. Truly a rare thing for shih tzus! I was thinking I wanted the name ella for my next pup and coincidentally she had me enchanted with her cuteness. Welcome to your new family ella! You are truly priceless!!!

Watch out for more pictures as they grow up!:-)

Thank you for 2009. Excitingly looking forward for 2010!

As the year ends and we welcome the new year of 2010... it has been a wonderful holiday for me!:-)

Last December 21, Oia - my chihuahua gave birth to a cute longhaired white and choco male pup we named Jacob(after the twilight character).

I helped prepare a simple New Year's dinner for my 3 special guest! Ate Lee, Kim and my brother from the hood Dale..hehehehe... (this is a first, since we always host a lavish feast at home to a number of friends of my dad who love the booze:-)) This year, we wanted to keep it low key and only to close friends and family and most of all Healthy!!!hahahaha! just red wines for the kiddos and none for my dad, since he was diagnosed with fatty liver mid of 2009.

Of course, as part of our New Year's resolution to be healthy and be a strict pescetarian, we went to RCBC Platinum to gym and swim. For the next day, we jogged around AAV as part of our routine cardio workout:-) Hope we can keep up with our resolutions!:)

But all good things have an end and I can't wait for the next reason to celebrate life!!!! wiiiiiii!!!!
Thank God for a wonderful year and looking forward for more blessings coming this year!:-)

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!:) cheers!
